He said several meetings were held chaired by Dr. Mostapha Madbouly, the Prime Minister to follow up the situation and review the various scenarios and procedures taken by the government when any case arises, especially those applied in borders and airports to follow-up comers from outside Egypt.

During the sharjah Forum, Heikal declared to the media that Egypt didn't record any Corona cases a few days ago. The government directly made an announcement as soon as the first case was discovered. Another announcement was made on the next day for two foreigners and on Thursday evening, a third case was discovered for an Egyptian citizen coming from Serbia.

The Minister of State for Information critised the state of extreme sarcasm that swept the social media over the past few weeks and gave the others an impression that the government was hiding the news of discovered cases. This is totally untrue as the announcements made by the Egyptian government and the World Health Organization (WHO) were exactly the same.

Heikal said that Egyptians have a high sense of humor, but in such cases that affect their health, some people might think that this sarcasm is a reflection of the Egyptians' mistrust in the Corona Virus announcements made by the Egyptian government. Egyptians may laugh at these jokes but others don't necessarily understand our language and aren't required to understand the right sense of each word.
