Finishing the filming of the Kyrgyzstani movie “Paradise is under the feet of mothers " under EMPC supervision

                Egypt Film Commission at the Egyptian Media Production City Co. (EMPC) has finished filming the Kyrgyzstani movie “Paradise Under the Feet of Mothers,” directed by Ruslan Akun, produced by the State of Kyrgyzstan and executed by the Egyptian Production company “Action Studios”. A great part of the movie was shot at EMPC backlots, Zefta and the rural areas, the green belt area alongside the city streets. The rest of the movie was filmed in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, where a number of scenes will be shot in Mecca and Arafat Mountain.

Egypt Film Commission has obtained all the movie’s permits and approvals, and provided the required production and logistical services, in accordance with the one-stop-shop system that allows the crews of international production companies to carry out their work in Egypt from one place, without any obstacles delaying the filming process.

This comes in accordance with the authorities granted to Egypt Film Commission, as the only official body that has the right to issue permits for filming foreign movies in Egypt, and in coordination with the relevant bodies, in light of the Council of Ministers’ decision to grant EMPC the aforementioned rights. 

It is noteworthy to mention that the committee has supervised the filming of more than 30 foreign feature and documentary movies in many touristic and archaeological plateaus and landmarks in Egypt during the past two years which belong to the following nationalities (American - Norwegian - French - Canadian - Colombian - Swiss - Saudi. - Indian - and many others).

During its work, the committee has greatly contributed in removing many of the obstacles that hindered the filming of foreign movies, the matter that has led to the reluctance of the movies’ producers to film their works in Egypt in previous periods. Moreover, the committee is currently promoting Egypt as an important tourist attraction center, through the scenes that are filmed in many Egyptian touristic and archaeological plateaus and highlighting them in the international cinema.
